A little history
This part of Chino Hills developed in the 1990s and 2000s as the city built out toward the state park boundary, with Vellano's golf community completed in the mid-2000s around a course designed by Tom Lehman. The area sits at the literal edge of the 2008 M5.4 Chino Hills earthquake's epicenter region, a moment longtime residents still talk about.
