A little history
Chino grew up as a dairy and agricultural hub in the early 1900s, and much of the flat farmland east of downtown became the tract housing that fills modern Chino Hills. The Chino Airport, home to Planes of Fame, dates to World War II as an Army Air Forces training field.

Chino residents get lower home prices and Metrolink access, trading some of Chino Hills' hillside scenery for flatter, more industrial surroundings.
